”In order to claim that the programme was successful, Nalin asked the DHO to direct the private nursing colleges to send their students to the scheduled programme. Because of this the DHO asked the heads of the nursing colleges to compulsorily send at least 50 students to the programme,” alleged Vinayraj.
“Intimation must come from the Union Ministry of Health to the state government, if at all nursing students should attend any central government’s programme. Under such circumstances, the state government can direct the concerned officials to ask the private colleges to send their students to the programme. How can an MP direct the DHO to give intimation to private colleges to send students to a government progrqamme?” he questioned.
