Social distancing: B'luru police seeks ideas from netizens to keep migrants engaged

Bengaluru: City Commissioner of police Bhaskar Rao on Tuesday, April 14 asked the netizens to suggest some ideas to prevent law and order problems in the city amid lockdown and to help the migrants maintain social distance.

As the easiest way to reach public and ask for their opinion on social media, Baskar Rao took to Twitter asking out for a hand of help and wrote, “In view of migrants in some parts of the country have lost their patience and poured onto streets, may I seek suggestions from you all as to how we could keep these large numbers engaged, be empathetic and maintain social distance too…Ideas to prevent Law and Order problems.”

Replying to Commissioner’s tweet Former Karnataka government’s Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha said, “Find out from where they are so that people from one state/ area can be grouped together, or what activity they are good at & attach them to corporates/ NGOs.Azim Premji, Infosys foundation, etc can be roped in. They can be taught to write/read & use their talent.”

Soon after being shared online, the tweet has collected over 2.1 thousand like so far and many people have also commented on their ideas on how police can maintain law and order in Bengaluru.

The top cop too has responded to the suggestions given by the netizens.
