Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Monday, May 4 informed the students of class 10 to start preparing for their board examinations, which was postponed due to Covid-19 lockdown.
"The decision to hold the SSLC examination at the earliest was taken after discussing with the respected district educational officers through a video conference," said Suresh.
"The government will soon release the time table for the examinations and students will be allowed t write the exam only after thermal screening. Wearing masks and using sanitizer during the examination is compulsory," informed the education Minster.
He further warned the officials to conduct the examinations within the classroom and not outside the classrooms. "Do not make any student sit on the floor," he said.
"Exams won't be conducted in the schools that have been turned into quarantine rooms and social distancing will be maintained during the examination," added Suresh.
It may be recalled that Suresh Kumar had said that the government will conduct the SSLC examination only after conducting revision classes.
