Three dead, 20 injured after tractor falls into canal in Raichur

Raichur: Three daily wage laborers were killed while more than 20 suffered injuries after a tractor plunged into a canal at Javalagera in Raichur district on Wednesday morning.

Of the deceased, one was killed on the spot while two others died in a hospital.

The injured were rushed to hospitals in Bellary and Raichur. Eight of the injured are said to be critical and the death toll is likely to rise.

The incident took place when the driver lost control over the vehicle as it was overcrowded.
