Bengaluru: Three-day Krishi Mela to begin on November 11

Bengaluru: Vice-chancellor of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru(UAS-B), S Rajendra Prasad informed that the three-day Krishi Mela in Bengaluru will start on Wednesday, November 11, and in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mela will be a low-key affair.

The Krishi Mela will be held both physically on the GKVK campus in Hebbal and will be digitally available on the website, and other social media platforms, Prasad informed.

The UAS-B has set up 25 stalls for the agriculture exhibition while the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research will put up one stall. This time, there will be no private agricultural stalls.

According to UAS-B, Farmers can get solutions to their agricultural problems physically and through zoom meetings from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.The event will also recognize six persons, including farmers, who have worked in the field of agriculture.
